For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a deep fascination with the surreal and conceptual faces of art. Since my arrival at college I’ve worked heavily in my work, via a vast variety of mediums to create works of art both two-dimensional and three, which reflect thoroughly in my own surrealistic vision. Originally during my childhood my inspiration of the surreal and escapist art came via comic books, cartoons and other illustrative art. Their stories and fantasy appeal fed my imagination and inspired me to create my own little worlds. As my art progressed I began to seek inspiration from other sources of the surreal, including famous artists such as Salvador Dali. My work also on a majority reflects my passion for Asian art, and the uses its teachings in one form or another. In much of my art work, particularly my three-dimensional pieces, I try to find a method of showing or capturing the illusion of movement even thought the art itself remains stationary.
